I'm 5 months pregnant and having a boy!

Ok, first off I'm taking this picture with the timer set, so it's not that good of a picture; second it hard to look good in a picture when you're 5 months pregnant and in pajamas. Nonetheless I realized I don't have a picture of me and my pregnant belly so here you go. Now in the time that I have been creating this blog page the baby has been non-stop kicking I think he want's me to talk aobut him on our family blog spot, so I will.

Baby boy Jackson was discovered to be a boy on March 4th, 2008. It was very apparent that he was a boy. The whole ultrasound was a joy. We saw his face so many times it felt like he was peeking out his head so we could get some good pictures of him and we did. One time we saw one of his cute little hands it was holding a fist with his pointer finger out saying I'm the first to come in this family or I'm #1, it was so neat to see things so defined. Right now the doctors are saying he's healthy with no abnormalities. We'll keep you posted. Also hopefully soon I can get those pictures from the ultrasound up.

The COSBY Family Home Evening

Grant and I really enjoy the Cosby show and have been watching it often. There are several times we will watch the show and Heathcliff Huxtable will have a delicious looking Hoge. Everytime Grant and I see that Hogi we get hungry, especially me since I'm pregnant. We decided to have one of our family home evenings be; make our own Hogi's and watch the Cosby show. This was one of the most delicious family home evenings we've had.

Here's me taking a bite into the delicious hogis with potato chips stuffed inside.

And Grant with his hogi, we did not hold back for this hogi, we went all out!

Making sure the beach has a hole

We went to the beach this past Saturday, the drive was beautiful on the way there and when we got to the beach we saw a sea otter in the waves near the beach it was very exciting. I went exploring a bit and when I got back to where Grant was I discovered this, him making a hole in the beach. So I sat next to him while he made is hole.

Relaxing in his hole and listening to some music.

He wanted to see what he would look like with a blanket over him, this is what he looks like. It was very fun to watch him. On the way back to the car Grant stated that whenever you go to a beach you need to leave a hole.

Redwoods

We went to the redwoods a couple of Saturdays ago, it was a bit rainy but still very cool. Also, these redwoods by San Francisco, aren't nearly as huge as the ones you'll see up north in the Redwoods Forest, nonetheless they were still huge.

Grant standing inside one of the redwoods, with his drenched clothes.

Cool shot of the redwoods.

Grant and I staring up at the redwoods, marveling at their size.

Our Home

As most of you guys know Grant and I have lived our Utah school days and have moved to California for a while with Grant's new job. We love it here and everything about this place. The weather is nice, the city is nice and clean, our ward is wonderful and welcoming, and our home fits our needs very nicely. Here are some pictures of our home.

This is the front entrance to our home, see the sunlight, it's always shining.

Here's our living room, if you go up the stairs you go to our bedroom, the babies room, and a bathroom.
This is our dining room/turtle room/office, we still have some settling in to do and getting things more organized.

Our kitchen which I love, it is very spacious. If you go throught the doorway that is our laundry room and there is a half bathroom.
This is a part of our back patio area, right now I'm weeding that dirt and getting it ready for gardening.
Well there is a bit of our home, we like it, it's very comfortable and light.

Christmas

Christmas was tons of fun Grant and I finally announced that we are expecting a baby in July to both of our families. I was so happy to finally tell them I couldn't hold out much longer.

On my side I let my oldest and youngest sister announce the birth by giving them a birthday card (because they share Dec. 21 as their b-day) with a ultrasound picture of the baby in it. My oldest sister just started screaming and saying "shut-up," my family was so curious "what could Sarah have given them in the card?" My sisters finally let my family know and said I was having a baby. There was tears, screams, and laughter, it was one of my favorite moments in life.

We told Grant's family on the day of the Jackson Graduation ceremony. This day was pretty cool. They recognized Blake and Grant for having graduated in December with their bachelors; Adam who will be graduating this spring from High school; and Sheryle, who already graduated, but did not receive a family hooray! At the end of the ceremony Grant and I gave Sheryle (the oldest) an envelope of an ultrasound of the baby, and a note saying we fill it fits to let the oldest of the family share the good news about the soon to be oldest of our family. I don't think she got to the note before she got to the picture and shared the good news with Grant's family. It was very fun to see her reaction and let Grant's family know.

Here are some pictures from Christmas time unfortunately we only have pictures of my family.

Grant and Annie enjoying the Christmas downtime by faking sleep, nice guys.

WE'RE HERE!

Well we made it to the blog spot. I just love looking at other blogs, that I had to make one for our family. I'm still getting the hang of it, so bare with me as I try to personalize it.
Grant and I are loving California, the weather is soooooooooo nice it's not even funny. Grant was wearing shorts in January because the weather was so great. The surrounding area is awesome as well. In less than a one hours drive Grant and I have already gone to the Redwoods, the Pacific coast, and downtown San Fran! Well I'm going to get started on personalizing this, wish me luck.
