Easter

This is the story of my life! Edwin is running, and I'm trying to keep up with him. He is fast! I'm so amazed at the development of Edwin and how big and strong he has become. Just yesterday Edwin gave me a hug and squeezed, his squeeze was so strong it hurt. Edwin is not even two years old yet but he's got muscle. I love it and am amazed.

Funny thing is that this boy inside of me is stronger than Edwin, when Edwin was inside me. Looks like I'm in for a major workout!

The two pictures above are rare pictures, because I'm in them, and not taking them.

For Easter on Saturday, we went to Stanford's Provost's house, it was very nice, they had an Easter egg hunt, story time, and the Easter bunny. Edwin was sooooooooooo excited about all the new things he just couldn't stop from running everywhere! One second he's right next to me, the next he's all the way across the lawn and down the stairs and around the corner! It took a lot out of me to keep up. This second pregnancy, I've been weighing less, and I think I know why (Edwin).
Here's a picture of Grant and Edwin at the event. Grant is making sure Edwin doesn't jump in and go for a swim.
Edwin was so happy about the car that was painted on his hand. He kept on saying "car" and then looking at his hand to make sure it was still there.
This is after Edwin's nap and he slept on his hand, can you see the mark on his face; you have to look closely, it's kind of small, lol!
At the actual Easter event, the Easter egg hunt didn't go that well. It was fine and fun to watch, but what Edwin would do is pick up an egg and throw it because it was a "ball," as Edwin would say. It was funny to see, but later that night I did an Easter egg hunt for him in his room.
He thoroughly enjoyed himself and the treats in the Easter eggs.

For the other parts of Easter we talked about the resurrection as best as we could with Edwin. We sang songs about our body, like "head, shoulders, knees, and toes" and talked about how cool it is to have a body. We also watched General Conference which was wonderful, and was so happy to see how many talks there were on the family.

We had a good Easter, and are excited that our little Edwin is slowly being introduced to the holidays. I hope you enjoyed the holidays too.

I'm so crafty; I make people!

Yes it is official, my mother crafting gene is in work as Edwin is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his baby brother. Yup, it's a boy! This wonderful second boy is due to arrive June 17th, 8 days after Grant has finished his Masters, wahoo! Let's hope the baby doesn't come early! Anytime this sweet baby comes we'll make it work. We are SUPER excited to have an addition to our family.

In this photo, I'm 20 weeks pregnant and holding a 26 pound boy. Don't they say I shouldn't be doing that, lol. Well I don't hold him as much anymore but it is impossible to avoid, and to be honest I like holding my Edwin, he's still my baby boy.

Also, in the picture, in the background is an elephant seal, drawn to scale. Edwin and I went with our very close buds, Lana and Ava, to go see the Elephant Seals with their new pups (the small black seal in the picture). It was AWESOME, if any of you ever vacation to the San Fran Bay Area, I strongly recommend this, Edwin walked most of the trail, and I held him on the beach. This tour takes you right on to the beach, 10 feet away from the 5,000 pound male Elephant seal. We didn't get to close to the moms because they are with their pups, and you know how protective moms are.

Edwin had an awesome time and really really wanted to go pet the elephant seals, it was quite the work to keep him from petting them, but it was also really cute to see how much he wanted to. Below is a picture of Edwin holding hands with Ava on the way back from the beach, this is unique because Edwin really does not like to hold hands.

They are such good friends whenever they see each on the playground they run to each other, it is super cute!

I hope you all have a wonderful February.

I have no title

Yeah to the New Year. To start off the new year I read "A Million Miles in a Thousand Years" by Donald Miller, and I strongly recommend it. It is a great non-fiction about a man, Donald Miller, who writes books and one of his books is going to be made into a movie. Through the process of making a "good" movie, Donald, looks at how to make a "good" life, how to live a "good" story. The book is fun and it definitely has a lot of good stories in it. If you like to read I think you may enjoy this book. It has motivated me to try to live a better story.

That book was one of my Christmas gifts, among other wonderful gifts. For this Christmas the Jackson family went to Washington. I have to be honest it is really hard for me to vacation anymore, it doesn't necessarily feel like a vacation, it kind of feels like more work. It may have been easier if Grant was healthy (he was sick for our stay in Washington), probably, but still vacationing is hard. Do any of you guys feel that way, and what do you do to make it easier, or more enjoyable.

Anywho, not to complain too much; it's always a treat to go home and see family, and Edwin loves it. He loves to see his long lost family, especially his cousins (we're sad we missed the Jackson cousins). This year we had two Christmas's, which was awesome, we visited the beach, Tillamook Cheese factory, ate food, went to Crown's Point, a lot of Burgerville visits (local YUMMY burger joint), had snow, walked around a Historic National State Park (the one my parents live on, Fort Vancouver), played games, ate food, watched a lot of youtube, and enjoyed one anothers company.

Overall it was great, and now it is great to be home. Edwin was sooooo excited to play in his backyard, and see his friends, and I was sooooo happy to let him run free.

By the way I'm a horrible blogger and I do not know how to work with my pictures and text, so if you know, please tell me.
