pics! pics! pics!

Although we are unemployed and hope for a job soon, we do feel very blessed, loved and looked after by our Heavenly Father, so we are able to sleep well.
Edwin decided he needed to help in the cause to find a job, he's seeking to be an all star athlete, and is developing his skills as fast as he can. He already dribbles a soccer ball with both feet, WOW, which I'm ecstatic about.
It's too bad there is no pay in being brothers, because these two do it awesomely (is that a word?). In these pictures the boys are wearing BIG BRO, lil bro shirts, made by me. I finally got the courage to put it on them and let the shirts get dirty. Which they did.

In this fun waiting process, I was able to start a tradition! It's the "two and a half month baby picture on the bed, with mom taking the picture and being in it." Maybe I should think about shortening the name, hmm...
Edwin at two and half months.
Leland at two and a half months.
Then Leland got the idea that he wanted to help find a job, he's searching to be a model, and I'd say only being 3 months old, he's ahead of the game. Look at him isn't he GORGEOUS! I love my little blue eyed boy.

I've got some serious cuteness from all my three boys! We are so blessed and so happy!

Prayers

Ok, this is more personal but I feel we need as much help as possible. We have been unemployed for a couple months now and would love to have a job as soon as possible and anywhere, we just want a job.

I believe in the power of prayer, and I feel the people who check this blog are close enough friends to ask for prayers. Please if you remember, please ask for the Jackson family to get a job.

We are very blessed and we haven't suffered pain in being unemployed, we have so many wonderful things blessing our lives, and we just want to do Heavenly Father's will. Thank you for your prayers and if you need me to pray for you I will.

You have all blessed our lives and I'm grateful to know all of you.

Love,

Sarah

Leland is two months and Edwin talks in his sleep!

Hello all, I hope life is wonderful for everyone! Things are going pretty good here. I'm getting the hang of having two boys a little more, and they are awesome and tiring (chuckles).
I have a cute story to share. Edwin is a very sweet boy, sometimes rough and crazy, but he is also very sweet. He says "please" and "thank you" very well, and if you sneeze he says "bless you," it's the cutest when Leland sneezes and Edwin says "bless you."
Well the other night Edwin finally settled down in his bed and was asleep. Grant sneezed in the other room and from Edwin's room you could hear him say in his sleep "bless you" it was absolutely cute. I love that little guy.
Other fun news, Leland is now two months as of the 17th of August, and he loves to smile, and I love it when he smiles. He also talks a lot and has the cutest voice. Some of his favorite things to do are play in the water, stand (with assistance), and be held by mama and dada.

Need more pictures!

Edwin with Dad and their backpacks.

Edwin got a hair cut, before...

...Leland's feet...
...after...
Ok so I like his curls, and I have to admit I like his hair longer, but he is definitely cute no matter what. Edwin chose to kiss Leland on his own, no encouragement from mom, he's such a loving boy.
more fun shots of Leland.

sorry there's not much of a story or updates but life is crazy and this is what I could do.

He has arrived!

Leland Gabriel Jackson
came to us on his due date (very punctual) June 17, 2010
at 7:01 pm
weighing in at 8 pounds 10 ounces
and 20 1/2 inches tall.

Leland is a very awesome baby who sleeps and eats well, he makes tons of fun faces, so Grant calls him chameleon. Edwin loves his baby brother and has great concern for him. Whenever Leland cries Edwin says "uh-oh" and goes and rubs the baby; when we change Leland and Edwin sees the umbilical cord scabbing over, Edwin starts to sob and says "owie." It's very wonderful having this new addition to our family, he fits in perfectly.

Pool Party!

Edwin is turning two on the 4th of July, and given the holiday and that I'm about to have this baby, I decided to celebrate his birthday with his friends earlier. It was mainly to get all of Edwin's friends together before people moved (including us) and went on vacation.

The party was absolutely awesome! I'm not much of a host, I become somewhat stressed about everyone having a good time, so I was a little worried to go through with the party. When the party actually started I was so happy it was so successful with little to no effort from me, the water did all the etertaining.

I made a "Stanford bus" cake because Edwin LOVES the Stanford bus. We now ride the Stanford bus often, mostly in the evening with the whole family. Usually after dinner Edwin says "bus" and then grabs both Grant and my hand and leads us to our door and then out to the bus stop in front of our house. When Edwin sees the bus coming he gets so excited and exclaims "bus, bus." It's pretty darn cute.

My cake decorating skills are less than par, but it was fun building the cake and making it the "Edwin #2 bus."

It seemed like everyone had such a good time. We had two little kid pools, one with a slide going into it, and a sprinkler.

This is Edwin with two of his very close friends Ava, who just went back to Australia for the summer to see her family with her mom of course, and Anabelle, who is Edwin's next door neighbor. They are very special to Edwin.

Pinata time!

Edwin loves balls, so we got him a football pinata. The pinata was hanging throughout the party, so kids could come wack it with their hands, to get as many turns as they wanted, and these kids are pretty young so I wasn't worried about it breaking before we got to it.

Thank you to everyone who came to the party! We had a blast!

Late Prediction

Well, my doctor said today that he thinks I will deliver a couple days late. Wahoo! LOL! That's alright though I feel this baby will come exactly when he's meant to come, and that gives me just a bit longer "just Edwin and Mommy time." He's to be due on the 17th of June, we'll see when he actually comes; go ahead and make your guess.

Our family time has been filled with adventures, unfortunately adventures I haven't captured on this blog, but one thing that our family did do, is family pictures. My sister and bro-in-law came to visit from Utah, and my sister took the family pictures. We took these pictures in one of the Redwood forests in the area. I hope you enjoy!

Edwin is almost two now, he will be July 4th, and he is having a party with a pinata (yay) this Friday. We're doing it early because we don't want to do it after the baby comes.

Grant is going to be a Master (chuckle, chuckle) officially on June 13, from Stanford University. He will be receiving his Masters in Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies (I had to call him to get this title, I still don't know it) this masters is in regard to education, specifically for Grant in Higher Education. The 9 months he was working to become a Master was the same 9 months I was working on creating a little human.

Texas 2010: The Pictures

So, after leaving Texas 13 years ago this June, my brother (Blake) and I decided to go back to the old stomping ground.

I tried to include captions, but Blogspot is not strong enough to handle a blog this size. It kept freezing up when I tried to type something. However, the pictures are in chronolgoical order, so you can gain a sense of the trip.
